New to speciality coffee?
A few things worth knowing before you fill the cup.

Espresso or filter?
Espresso is usually richer, heavier and made to cut through milk. Filter coffee tends to be cleaner, lighter and a bit more delicate. Sometimes the same bean, completely different experience.

Choosing your beans
If your go-to is flat whites, cappuccinos or stronger coffee, start with espresso blends or darker roasts. Prefer black coffee and brighter flavours? Filter roasts are a good place to start.

Tasting notes
Those flavour notes on the bag? They’re there to help you know what to expect in the cup. Chocolatey and nutty, bright and citrusy, jammy and fruity. Coffee can taste different depending on where it’s grown and how it’s roasted.

Brewing at home
Good coffee at home doesn’t need to be complicated. Fresh beans, the right grind and a brewing method you actually enjoy using goes a long way. Espresso machine, French press, AeroPress, pour over - they all make great coffee.
