Why are KeepCup Lunch Containers sustainable?

Reuse does not stop at the cup. The Go Bowl takes KeepCup's approach to thoughtful, long-life design into frozen yoghurt and lunch on the go.

The original registered design is made from lead-free stainless steel with 90% recycled content and a clear plastic lid containing 50% recycled material. It is independently tested to food-safety standards and packaged in lightweight, 100% recycled paperboard.

Go Bowl nests for compact storage and easy carrying, and its modular, single-material components make recycling easier at end of life. Partnerships such as Go Bowl x Yo-Chi have put the design into practice, strengthening KeepCup's reputation for both sustainability and thoughtful design. The shape and design are fun, so it's the reusable bowl you reach for, delivering sustainability through long term reuse.

The product is backed by the same B Corp accountability and 1% for the Planet commitment as the rest of the KeepCup range.

Can I put my KeepCup Go Bowl in the freezer?

The plastic Go Bowl Original is freezer safe, and good for meal prep and chilling food in advance. Leave room at the top, since food expands as it freezes, and let it thaw before microwaving rather than going straight from freezer to microwave.

Don’t freeze the insulated Go Bowl Luxe. Freezing can damage the vacuum seal between the steel walls, and once that’s gone the insulation doesn’t come back. The same applies to our insulated steel cups and bottles.

Glass KeepCups aren’t freezer safe either, as thermal shock can crack tempered glass.

For batch cooking, the flat lids let bowls stack neatly in the fridge or freezer. Avoid long-term freezer storage even in the Original, and always thaw before reheating.

Are KeepCup Go Bowls dishwasher safe?

Yes. Bowl and lids are dishwasher safe. Top rack is best. Oils from other items in the dishwasher can cause clouding of the clear tritan, so rinse before stacking! Hand washing will keep it looking better for longer.

Can I use the existing dome lid with the insulated Go Bowl?

Absolutely. The dome lid works across all Go Bowls. Perfect for layered meals, loaded salads, or anything that needs a little extra room. Shake it, mix it and make it yours.

Will the outside of the Go Bowl Luxe feel hot to hold when it contains hot food or liquids?

No. The insulation keeps the exterior comfortable to hold, whether your food is hot or cold. For hot meals, leave the air vent open to release steam and avoid pressure build-up.

Can I microwave the KeepCup Go Bowl Original and Go Bowl Luxe?

It depends which Go Bowl you have.

Go Bowl Luxe – no.
Insulated stainless steel (metal) and microwaves don’t mix. If you need to reheat, transfer your food to a microwave-safe container first, then back into your bowl when you’re ready to eat.

Go Bowl Original – yes.
The plastic Go Bowl Original is microwave safe to 100°C. Use a low setting, remove the lid, and heat in short bursts.

What size are KeepCup Go Bowls?

The Go Bowls come in one size, 18oz (550ml). Designed for a proper meal, but we won't judge the snacks. The clear domed lid makes it perfect for acai creations or frozen yoghurt, and big enough for leftovers, or a loaded salad. Small enough to fit in a bag without asking for attention

Yes! The Go Bowls are designed for easy storage. They can be stacked neatly to save space in your kitchen or backpack. Flat lids enable neat fridge stacking.
