What is a 6oz reusable coffee cup best for?

A 6oz KeepCup (our XS size) is best for espresso, piccolos, macchiatos and short blacks — anyone who wants a small, strong serve rather than a big milky one.

  • Materials: Tempered glass or insulated stainless steel.
  • Lids: Glass comes with a press-on sipper lid; insulated steel comes with a press-in clear quicksip lid.
  • Carry: Fits most car and stroller cup holders, and slips easily into a backpack or shoulder bag.

What makes the 6oz coffee cup ideal for espresso?

The 6oz coffee cup is no less ideal for espresso lovers. The cup allows a little more space for your coffee (or a sneaky drop of milk!) and makes it easy to safely take your hot drink on the go.  Great for cortado, macchiato and magic drinks the 6oz is 177ml to the fill line.

Are KeepCups suitable for kids?

The 4oz and 6oz sizes are popular for kids, particularly for babyccinos.  The simple design is easy to drink from, clean and, in plastic, unbreakable. All Keep Cup products are non-toxic, BPA and BPS free.  The 4oz and 8oz Originals are made in the UK.

Can I use the 6oz coffee cup in the microwave?

You can heat your 6oz tempered glass in the microwave to 100°C. Please remove the splashproof lid first, however, as these are not microwave-safe.

Do not place your 6oz stainless steel insulated cup in a microwave - these are not microwave-safe.

The Brew tempered glass 6oz reusable cup has a press-on splashproof sipper lid that closes over the drinking hole.  The 6oz insulated cup in stainless steel has a push-in quicksip lid made from clear 50% recycled Tritan. The Tritan lid is not microwave safe.

How should I care for my 6oz reusable coffee cup to extend its lifespan?

All glass, plastic, or stainless steel 6oz coffee cups are dishwasher safe, but we recommend handwashing to extend the lifespan of your cup. A quick rinse most days or a gentle handwash are all you need to clean KeepCup products, they are designed to be taken apart for easy cleaning so that you can replace parts that are lost, damaged or just a little tired. 
Rinse thoroughly and let your 6oz coffee cup air dry for best results. You can read more about cleaning your KeepCup on our care page. 
If you are not too fussed about preserving the surface finish, top rack of the dishwasher will do just fine.

Are there different designs or colours available for the Extra Small reusable coffee cups?

Absolutely. Choose between tempered glass, lightweight plastic or insulated stainless steel in our 6oz size.  You can choose a clear press-in lid or the Original splashproof lid, cork band, silicone band or no band at all, plus lots of on-trend colour options.
