KeepCup Brew is made from durable tempered glass designed to enjoy the craft and sensory pleasure of coffee on the go. When using your KeepCup Brew please consider:
Dishwasher safe, top rack.
Microwave with lid off to a maximum temperature of 100°C / 212°F.
Caution: Rapid temperature change or heating over 100°C / 212°F may cause the glass cup to shatter. You cannot heat liquids in the microwave above boiling point, or put a cold cup in boiling water or microwave.
Silicone is very durable and can withstand high temperatures, including in the microwave and dishwasher.
Please note: If water gets under the band during washing, it can slide down a cup. For best results, dry band on dry cup.
Your Cork band is a recovered material, a by-product of wine cork production. When using your KeepCup Brew Cork, please consider:
Due to the production method and cork being a natural material, there can be slight variances in colour, height and width of the band. As a result, band fitment will vary - some can be moved slightly on the cup, and some may fit tightly with no movement. Both are fit for purpose as intended, to protect your hand from heat when holding.
For longevity, we advise hand washing only and donot remove the cork band. Repeated dishwashing will cause the band to become discoloured and stretched.
Please treat your cork bands with care, especially when fitting it to your glass. Over time, the cork band will form a tight bond with the glass cup.
Microwaving may reduce cork band lifespan by causing the band to dry out and crumble.
If you need to remove your band, avoid breakage with these steps:
Place the cup on a flat surface, upside down.
Using your fingertips, gently massage the cork band upwards while rotating the glass, keeping the band at an even height.
Wash and leave to dry in the sunshine.
To put the band back on the cup, follow these instructions:
Place the cork band on a flat surface with the inside grove at the top. Take the glass and place inside of the cork band.
Using both hands, lift the band upward until you feel it grip on the glass. Gently massage the band upward, rotating the glass keeping the band at an even height.
Stop once you feel that the grove in the cork band has slipped over the shoulder of the glass.
Keep your Wood good
Your Wood band is a recovered organic material, a byproduct of timber manufacturing. When using your KeepCup Brew Wood, please consider:
There can be slight variances in complexion (texture and colour), as well as the height and width of the band, because it’s a natural material. As a result, band fitment will vary – some will fit tightly and some may have minor movement. Both are fit for the intended purpose of the band, to protect your hand from heat.
For longevity, we recommend wiping clean with a damp cloth when required, and to remove from the glass cup prior to washing - you can replace the band once the glass cup is dry, ready for its next use.
Microwaving may reduce its lifespan by causing the band to dry out and crumble.
If for some reason the wood band becomes waterlogged and loosens, remove the band from the cup, and leave it in a sunny spot and allow to dry out thoroughly in the sun.
To remove the Wood band, place the cup upside down on a flat surface and use your fingertips to pull the band up and off the cup.
To fit the Wood band, simply slide the Wood band onto glass cup and it will 'clack' into place.
